Higher Level Apprenticeships for Digital ICT Companies

A Higher Level Apprenticeship is a nationally accredited work-based programme. It is designed to meet the needs of employers for higher skill levels and provides apprentices the opportunity to gain quality training and a recognised higher qualification whilst in paid employment.

Higher Level Apprenticeships allow employers to train staff to the level needed so they have strong technical and good employability skills. An apprenticeship can fill higher level skills gaps, help attract higher calibre staff, increase productivity and develop existing staff.

The programme is a very cost-effective way of delivering training, with apprentices typically spending one day in College and the remaining four days working. Higher Level Apprenticeships are available through the Further Education colleges and universities in Northern Ireland, in over 20 occupational areas including ICT.

This video tutorial is a recording of a recent webinar and will help you better understand the Higher Level Apprenticeship programme and the opportunities it can provide for employers.
