Northern Ireland Focus on Offshore Wind - Emerging Opportunities
Offshore wind is the fastest growing sector in renewable energy and Northern Ireland is ideally placed to have an offshore industry; with world class infrastructure and a relatively benign environment, Northern Ireland could potentially be one of the lowest cost regions to develop floating offshore wind in Europe. Northern Ireland Focus on Offshore Wind – Emerging Opportunities was an event that took place on 22 March at the Titanic Hotel, Belfast.
The event outlined the potential benefits of offshore wind to Northern Ireland and the opportunity which exists for businesses and communities in Northern Ireland. It highlighted some of the companies which are actively exploring the feasibility of offshore wind projects in Ireland and will focus on the extensive opportunities which exist across the supply chain.
