About our Resource Matching support
Companies that manage their business waste efficiently achieve significant cost and energy savings.
Our Resource Matching Service, delivered by International Synergies NI Ltd, provides an opportunity to transfer business waste, unwanted materials and bi-products from one business or organisation to be reused, recycled, reprocessed and repackaged by another.

How does Resource Matching work?
A team of highly skilled and experienced staff will provide advice and guidance to help your business achieve resource matching solutions specific to your resource and waste management needs.
The principle one business’s waste being the raw material of another applies to all industry sectors and all resources and materials including; water, energy, process by-products, redundant equipment, skills and expertise.
Resource Haves
Tech store fixtures and fittings
Electrical faceplates and backboxes, extension leads, hinges, cables, extensions, drawer mechanisms and charging points.
Quantity: Continuous
Spent shot blast
Used or spent shot blast medium. May include steel shot.
Quantity:12 tonnes per annum
Plasma cutting dust
The plasma cutting processes used to cut mild steel, stainless steel and other metals generate fine particulate dust.
Quantity: 24 tonnes per year

Plastic products
Buckets, containers, drums, high density polyethylene (HDPE).
Quantity: 25 tonnes per week
Organic dust by-products
Many companies are producing high volumes of dust from manufacturing processes. Sources of woodfines, sawdust, mdf dust, mushroom compost, coffee grinds, coffee & wheat chaffs.
Quantity: 15,000 tonnes per year.

Frequently asked questions about Resource Matching
What will it cost my company to use the Resource Matching Service?
Nothing. The service is supported by Invest NI and is free to any business in Northern Ireland.
Will my company data be safe and secure?
Yes. Any information that you provide in relation to your company is retained on a secure database and will only be used by the Resource Matching team. Resource Matching works by building trusting relationships between you and our practitioners. Data will not be released to any third party without your prior approval.
Is Resource Matching just about finding solutions for waste?
No. We prefer to talk about wasted resources so we will help you if you have or want a wide range of things including, equipment, production capacity, storage and transport, skills, waste heat, sludge; anything that does not leave your business as a product or service can be classified as a wasted resource and we will aim to find a solution for it.

I have lots of wood waste. Can it all be recycled?
Wood, in most circumstances, can be recycled although heavily treated wood such as telegraph poles and some fencing cannot. There are four grades of wood waste and we will help you determine which grade yours falls into and how it can best be recycled.
How can I dispose of food waste from my restaurant?
From 1 April 2016, businesses producing more than 50kg per week of food waste must present it separately for recycling. There are ways of recovering this waste, for example through composting or anaerobic digestion (AD). We will help find the best solution for your business.
